~ Delray Marketplace ~
Delray Beach’s Newest
Shopping & Dining Destination!
In just over three months Delray Beach will have a fabulous new shopping and dining destination - Delray Marketplace. The new shopping center will be located on the northwest corner of Atlantic Avenue and Lyons Road. Slated for completion on November 15th, the 258,000 square foot center will feature fashion boutiques, eateries, salon services, a Publix, an amphitheater and most exciting a twelve screen movie theater complete with at least one IMAX screen AND a sixteen lane bowling alley! Currently, the project’s storefronts are 75% pre-leased with another 15% either in the leasing stage or negotiation, that leaves just 10% of this sought after location available for new retailers.
The marketplace will boast a wide variety of establishments; dining and drinking will include Cabo Flats Cantina, Max’s Grille, and the new Global Beer Collection; shops will include Charming Charlie, Chicos, Francesca’s Collection, Publix and Republic of Couture, just to name a few. The entertainment possibilities are off the charts with an amphitheater which will host concerts as well as chef demonstrations from local restaurants and the Frank Theatre Cinegrill and Bowl which includes an IMAX theater!
It’s estimated that 360,000 residents live within fifteen minutes of the new Delray Marketplace at Lyons Road and Atlantic Avenue. GL Homes’ Canyon communities of Canyon Isles, Canyon Lakes, Canyon Springs and Canyon Trails is located on Lyons Road at Boynon Beach Boulevard, just a few miles north of the shopping center. Another GL Homes project, The Bridges, is located just south of Atlantic Avenue on Lyons Road, both of these communities will benefit from having such a convenient plaza just minutes from their homes.
Last but not least, construction of the Lyons Road “missing link” between Atlantic Avenue and Boynton Beach Boulevard is scheduled for completion in July, 2013 with some estimating an early spring completion. This will make accessing the Delray Marketplace even more convenient. Lyons Road is still on track to connect from Atlantic to Boynton Beach Boulevard in late spring of next year.
